Pros of the Pay & Display system
- We use the data assimilated from our Essex and London based machines and sites to monitor our regulated areas, that in turn enables us to continually optimise the parking enforcement and management performance our facilities provide.
- One Pay & Display machine will serve 80 parking bays in an off-street situation but considerably fewer in on-street circumstances.
- Pay & Display is an effective way to generate revenue.
The Service We Offer:
Profit Share
This is a set-up and management service. GPS provide the capital for the set up and ongoing operational costs of the Pay & Display system in the Essex or London area. In terms, this is provided in return for a percentage of revenue generated from the Pay & Display system.
* A daily tariff system is placed in operation to members of the public. Gemini Parking Solutions will enforce designated parking enforcment patrol officers to operate on-sites in Essex and London areas for the duration of the agreed parking control contract. GPS provide and absorb the cost of all parking management staff. This will involve regular daily patrols to monitor the car park and provide enforcements as and when required.
* A fine would be enforced should a valid Pay & Display ticket not be on display, or if the Pay & Display ticket has expired, the vehicle is not within a designated bay or if a disable badge is not displayed (if applicable).
In relation to these services:
- A dedicated Gemini Parking Solutions parking enforcement manager will oversee the overall contract and its ongoing performance including periodic conventions with the client.
- Daily Health & Safety checks will be carried out accordingly. All relevant issues will be reported to our parking management contact and acted upon if necessary.
- Periodic site assessments in the Essex and London area and ongoing parking management staff training will be carried out on-site by Gemini Parking Solutions management.
- Parking enforcement signage to include design and installation.
- Permits supplied for authorised visitor parking (if applicable).
Pay and Display Equipment Installation
Pay & Display machines should be installed at key points in the car parks, usually a single machine will cater for up to 100 spaces. Generally, these would be solar powered and will not require electric points.
Signage
As an indication of the signage required, we recommend one 600x 400 mm aluminium sign per machine displaying the new terms and conditions of parking management and control in respect of P&D parking, these would be attached to a post. In addition, one 1200 X 1000 mm aluminium tariff board to be positioned next to the Pay and Display unit.The Policy
The Enforcement Policy will be agreed between the Gemini Parking Solutions parking enforcement team and the client under a managed scheme and would set out the practical aspects of parking control, such as:- When/whether a PCN or parking enforcement Warning Notice should be issued.
- Whether there is a grace period.
- Measures to discourage frequent/extended unauthorised use.
