The British Parking Association has teamed up with WAMITAB, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering online learning, technical competence and training materials leading to high-quality qualifications in Parking Enforcement and Notice Processing. The training is being offered by accredited centres through WAMITAB to provide an end to end solution in the parking and other related industries.
The good news is, we have recently taken up the programme so we can continue and strive to raise our standards across the private parking industry. The courses ran by Kirsty Reeves at Parking Associates has further emphasised and validated Gemini’s highly advanced learning and development environment.
Lenka Da Costa, Appeals Manager here at Gemini Parking Solutions says “The sense of clarity and affirmation that my team had at the end, of course, was very reassuring and I can attest to the confidence that we had in Kirsty and the materials offered by the course.”
Our Head of Operations, Jason Martin, also commented “Our teams were keen that they should, in addition to the technical, highly personalised and values-based development programme that they receive here at Gemini, be able to work towards an industry recognised qualification and the programme offered by WAMITAB and Parking Associates very much fitted the bill.
In an industry so often criticised for poor service and communication, a blended approach of people development through values and principles aligned with formal qualification must become the accepted and expected norm.
Sadly, anecdotal evidence suggests that take-up of this qualification is still extremely limited. However, when Gemini approached all of the accredited course suppliers, only Parking Associates responded.
There is clearly work to done but rather than shouting from the sidelines, Gemini and I intend to play our full part in changing the perception of and raising standards within an all too often misunderstood industry.”
Gemini Parking Solutions strongly believes that the Parking Enforcement and Notice Processing courses offered by the BPA and WAMITAB will ensure that the parking and related industries keep their regulated, quality-driven and occupationally-led qualifications.
In addition to this, we have also recently acquired new offices to support the continued expansion of our team, providing the space and resources need to nurture our employees. This is so that we can provide the very best service to our loyal customers.
We also aim to strengthen our senior management team as we further expand our reach across the UK. In light of this, Gemini Parking Solutions is proud to announce the appointment of our new Financial Director, Mahesh Vadgama.
With 30 years of established experience in Finance, Mahesh has spent 12 years as Finance and Operations Director at PSAV EMEA, a subsidiary of a £1bn US company- the largest organiser of meetings, events and on-site event support services to the hospitality industry. What’s more, Mahesh was recently interim Group Finance Director with Minerva Cosmetics, a globally operating SME.
Gemini’s Founder and Director, Ryan Jackson, says, “At such an important time for Gemini, it was essential that I brought in the right person for the job. That person is Mahesh. I met with a number of high-quality candidates, but Mahesh’s alignment with our values elevated him above the rest. With Mahesh’s experience and expertise, he will undoubtedly contribute massive value to Gemini and help steer us where we deserve to be.”
Mahesh commented “With the team Gemini has in place, and the potential in the industry, I can see Gemini growing and creating new opportunities for customers and staff. By using my commercial experience gained via senior positions in various large corporates and industries, I will help to take the company to new heights and to be a force to reckoned with in the industry.”
