Great news for Gemini! Our increasing success and ambition to be number one in the car parking management industry is advancing, with the expansion of our services further into Scotland.
The newest addition to the Gemini portfolio is the car parking site that serves Rutherglen Exchange Shopping Centre, which is located to the South East of Glasgow, just a short train ride from Glasgow City Centre. The site has over 270 parking spaces, including spaces for parent and child parking and blue badge holders and it serves a thriving, recently modernised retail centre with a range of shops and cafes. The site operates an ANPR system with Pay & Display facilities, and also utilises cashless parking apps – in the form of JustPark. Through making best use of ANPR technology, Gemini are also able to provide a dynamic permit system to staff – allowing them to pay a reduced parking rate and enabling them to be automatically billed for every visit through the utilisation of the ANPR system.
We are excited to announce this new installation and delighted that our management of Rutherglen Exchange’s parking serves to consolidate and extend the successful relationship between Gemini and the site owner. Historically, the site was managed by another car park operator who were managing the car park using a manned patrol service. Unfortunately, this only provided coverage when the operative was on site – so, limited monitoring and enforcement meant that not the previous system was insufficient and less effective, and the potential for income generation was not being maximised. Gemini were approached by the client because of our flexible, compassionate approach to parking management combined with our ability to install, manage and utilise the most recent technology available on the market.
The new, efficient Gemini system was installed on Monday 3rd February – providing a great start to the year for Gemini, for Moorgarth Properties Ltd, for Rutherglen – and for members of the public. It’s a winning situation all round and enhances Gemini’s foothold in Scotland, which we can employ as a springboard for our greater success
